  • Over ₹90 lakh in cash and jewellery worth nearly ₹1 crore were seized at her Guwahati home And Additional cash totalling ₹10 lakh was found at her rented house in Barpeta district

Allegations: Illegal Land Transfer and Bribery

The roots of the case trace back to Bora’s posting as Circle Officer in Barpeta, where she allegedly facilitated that illegal registration of government and Satra land to suspected individuals,

  • According to complaints, Nupur Bora maintained a “rate card” for official services, with bribes ranging from ₹1,500 to ₹2 lakh for tasks like preparing land maps and changing names in land records.
